U.S. Senate Candidate Visits Charles City

CHARLES CITY- Republican candidate for U.S. Senate Mark Jacobs says there is no better time for job creation throughout the country.

Jacobs, who stopped in Charles City last week on a tour of an ethanol plant, says rural areas are key players in where he would like to see growth.

Jacobs says many Americans are tired of the way current leaders are running Washington.

Jacobs announced his candidacy to run for U.S. Senate in November, having no prior experice in politics.

Job growth, emphasizing community colleges and vocational schools to close the skills gap, and expanding domestic energy production are three of Jacobs’ priorities.  Jacobs will be running against six other Republican candidates in the primary race.
