Still Time to View “Festival of Trees”

CHARLES CITY- Just a few days remain to vote for your favorite Christmas tree and help raise money for a good cause.

The Festival of Trees in Charles City is sponsored by Otto’s Oasis and the Charles City Area Chamber of Commerce.  This is the 6th year for the festival says Lori Otto.

Ginger Williams with the Charles City Chamber says the winner gets bragging rights for the year along with profits earned from votes.

Twelve non-profit organizations are participating in the festival this year, which includes:

CENTRAL PRESCHOOL, COMPREHENSIVE SYSTEMS, THE EXCHANGE CLUB, FLOYD COUNTY CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION COUNCIL, FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY, LOVE THOSE LLAMAS, NEW HOPE LUTHERAN CHURCH, PAWS, P.E.O., ST JOHNS CHRISTIAN PRESCHOOL, SNAP,  and TLC

The Festival of Trees will be at Otto’s Oasis in Charles City through Monday, December 30th.

Angela Barton

Angela is an Indiana native. She graduated from Ball State University with a BA in Telecommunications (Broadcast News Emphasis). Since she was young, Angela has always enjoyed radio. In college, she had a weekly shift at Ball State's radio station WCRD where she compiled campus news. Most of her college friends wanted to become television news anchors, but Angela knew she would enjoy radio best. She lives in Charles City with her husband...who is also a reporter.
