NEW HAMPTON- Snow and ice covered roads were the cause of an accident last week on northbound Highway 63.  41-year old James Steinman was near the 205 exit ramp on Highway 63 when he lost control of his vehicle and entered the north bound ditch.  The vehicle rolled and came to rest on its top.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident.  Steinman was transported to Mercy Medical New Hampton for injuries.  No plates were on the car, which was purchased just five days prior to the accident.

The Iowa State Patrol responded to the accident.
