New Hampton School Board To Hold Work Session

New Hampton High School

The New Hampton School Board members will hold a work session today to discuss the district’s facilities as well as a possible early-retirement incentive.

Earlier this month, the board discussed the possibility of offering an early retirement incentive to interested teachers. At that meeting, New Hampton Superintendent Dr. Jay Jurrens says there are both pros and cons to offering the incentive.

Board member Tim Denner says he is not in favor of offering the incentive.

Board members asked how many teachers would be part of the incentive program. Jurrens says there is no way to know how many teachers would take the incentive until the board approves the offer.

The workshop session will begin at 6:30pm in the High School Media Center.

About Chris Berg

Chris was born and raised in Webster City, IA. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki and a daughter Brynlee.
