More Snow Headed Towards The Area, 2 to 4″ Possible

weatheralert

Charles City, IA – An already snowy north Iowa will be able to add to their totals on Thursday, and maybe again on Saturday.

The National Weather Service in La Crosse says light to moderate snow could enter the area early Thursday morning and continue through a part of the afternoon. It’ll be a fast moving system but it’ll produce some decent snow amounts (see graphic below) while dropping our temperatures throughout the day.

A majority of the area could see at least 2 inches up to as much as 4 inches by the time the system departs Thursday night. Patchy blowing snow is also possible Thursday afternoon and into the night time hours with sustained wind speeds of 5 to 15 mph, gusting at times to as high as 25 mph.

Roads will become hazardous Thursday with the snow and slick conditions. Keep it tuned to KCHA and KCZE for the latest weather information.

Another system could affect the area Saturday but forecasted snow totals aren’t nailed down yet.
