Borlaug Center Hosts Cover Crop Video Conference


NASHUA- A live video stream from the 2014 National Cover Crops and Soil Health Conference will be offered free to the public at the Borlaug Learning Center on the Northeast Iowa Research Farm, west of Nashua.  The conference will run from 9 to 11am on Tuesday, February 18th and feature presentations by both USDA Secretary Tom Vilsak and farmer/ author Howard G. Buffett. Afterwards, a national panel of leading soil health farmers will provide their perspectives on the opportunities and challenges in improving soil health.  Farmers, agricultural industry personnel, students, and key leaders are welcome to learn the latest to improve soils for the next generation.  Registration can be completed by calling the Borlaug Center at 435-4864.

Angela Barton

Angela is an Indiana native. She graduated from Ball State University with a BA in Telecommunications (Broadcast News Emphasis). Since she was young, Angela has always enjoyed radio. In college, she had a weekly shift at Ball State's radio station WCRD where she compiled campus news. Most of her college friends wanted to become television news anchors, but Angela knew she would enjoy radio best. She lives in Charles City with her husband...who is also a reporter.
