New Hampton Board Leaning Towards Pre-K-8 Building

New Hampton Middle School

NEW HAMPTON- New Hampton Schools Superintendent Dr. Jay Jurrens says the school board is considering a Pre-K through 8 building project. Jurrens says a Pre-K through grade 8 building would allow the district to take care of facility issues completely.

The board met last week at their regular meeting to discuss the facilities project.  Board members say they would like to hold their bond election in September.  Jurrens says there is much to do for the project moving forward.

The board will also consider a contract with Facilities Cost Management Group at a future meeting. The cost management group estimates a new Pre-K through 8 building costing between $19.6 to $21 million dollars.
