Rezoning Request Hears First Reading

NEW HAMPTON- The request to rezone a property in New Hampton heard its first reading last week.  Croell Redi-Mix requested the rezone from agricultural to industrial in order to be able to use the property to store equipment.

Council members agreed to the first reading of the rezone, which is contingent on having restrictions put in place and both parties signing a contract.

Restrictions include no stock-piling concrete or rubble, no piling of asphalt, no scrap or junk machinery storage, and an earthen berm 9 feet tall.

About Chris Berg

Chris was born and raised in Webster City, IA. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki and a daughter Brynlee.
