New Hampton, IA – There will be a benefit for Tony Groth this weekend at the Pub at the Pinicon in New Hampton to honor Tony and help raise money for his family.
Tony was diagnosed with terminal cancer on February 14, 2014 and longtime friend Amy Fogarty explains what the benefit will include.
The diagnosis was fairly sudden and Tony, along with his fiance Cyd Holschlag and their son, Aiden, are feeling a bit overwhelmed. This benefit will help defray some of the costs they have incurred and also help the family pay for future medical expenses.
Fogarty anticipates that there will be both sadness and joy but she hopes more of the latter.
Donations for the silent and live auctions will be accepted through Wednesday of this week (those items can be dropped off at the Pub at the Pinicon). There has also been an account set up for Tony, Cyd and Aiden at Luana Savings Bank in New Hampton.
