Osage, IA – Mitchell County as well as the city of Osage and the Mitchell County Regional Health Center will hold their annual budget hearings next week.
- The city of Osage will hold it’s hearing at 5:30pm Monday March 10th at City Hall. The tax levy proposed will be $12.88 per $1,000 valuation which is a decrease of 6 cents from the current levy of $12.94. That levy of $3 per $1,000 on agricultural land remains the same. That levy is part of an estimated $6.2 million dollar expenditure budget.
- The Mitchell County Board of Supervisors will hold their hearing at 9:00am on Tuesday March 11th in the board room. No increase in tax levies is proposed with the urban tax set at $5.79 per $1,000 taxable valuation and the rural tax proposed at $9.74 per $1,000 taxable valuation. The levies are set as part of a $19.8 million expenditure budget.
- The Mitchell County Regional Health Center will be holding it’s budget hearing on Tuesday March 11th at 8:00am in the board room. MCRHC’s levy of $1.12 per $1,000 valuation remains unchanged from the past year.
Osage Schools will hold their budget hearing on Tuesday March 18th.
