Previewing Comet Boys Track and Field (part 1)

Our area spring sports teams have been dealing with unseasonable weather this year.  By this point in previous years those teams have had practices outside and have been steadily preparing for the start of the competition season.  In my attempt to hurry winter out the door, today marks to first of many previews of our spring sports teams.

The Charles City Comet Boys Track Team has had a couple of indoor meets and their season is in full swing despite the fact that most of Blaine Thorson Track is covered in snow.  First year head Comet boys track coach Ryan Rawmiller isn’t letting this weather affect him or his team.  He says that the Comets aren’t the only one dealing with the issue.

Those indoor practices are obviously not ideal, but Coach Rawmiller and his squad are doing their best to make them productive.

Although Coach Rawmiller is new to his current position as head varsity track coach, his other positions within the Charles City School system have helped him transition into his new role.

You can hear more from Coach Rawmiller as I will continue my preview of the Comet varsity boys track team in my upcoming sports reports.
