Murder Trial Continued For Frederiksen

Webster City, IA – The murder trial of 34 year old Casey Fredericksen, who is accused of killing 5 year old Evelyn Miller in 2005, has been continued until the fall.

Frederiksen was charged with first-degree murder and first-degree sexual abuse, both Class A felonies.

His trial was to begin May 5 in Hamilton County District Court in Webster City however has been continued to Sept. 15 following a request by the defense for more time to prepare. The trial was moved to Webster City on a change of venue.

Frederiksen was the live-in boyfriend of Noel Miller, Evelyn’s mother. He is being held in the Bremer County Jail in Waverly under $2 million bond.

Fredericksen plead not guilty to both charges. If convicted, he will face life in prison without the possibility of parole.
