Two People Charged In Luther College Drug Investigation

Decorah, IA – The Decorah Police Department on Tuesday conducted a search warrant on the Luther College campus as they investigate illegal drug activity.

Drug charges are now pending against 19 year old Kenya O’Neal of Ga., and 19 year old Marco Perez-Almanza of Chicago.

Officers searched a residence at 9:30 p.m. and found about 22 grams of marijuana and other evidence consistent with the delivery of marijuana.

O’Neal is accused of conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance, a felony. Perez-Almanza is facing a charge of possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, a serious misdemeanor.

The Winneshiek County Attorney’s Office and Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office canine also assisted during the investigation.
