CC Man Hauled To Jail After High Speed Chase, Standoff

Charles City, IA – 21 year old Franklin Foster of Charles City is behind bars after a high-speed chase and standoff on Saturday night .

The Floyd County Sheriff’s Department says Foster was charged with felony eluding, assault on a peace officer, failure to obey a stop sign and driving while suspended.

Deputies say the incident began when officers with the Charles City Police Department attempted to stop the vehicle Foster was driving. He then fled which lead officers into Bremer County and the chase ended in a standoff near Waverly.

No other details were released by the sheriff’s office.
