C City Police seeking help to update obsolete AED’s

Charles City Rotarians yesterday heard from the Police Department regarding the state of their automated electronic defibrillator devices, commonly known as AED’s. Lt Brad Worrell said they are hoping to get some support in updating the current units, which will soon be obsolete:

The department had AEDs in 3 of their cruisers. Lt Worrell says they are like insurance policies, something you hope you never need. He went on to say that even though the ambulance is usually not far behind them, when seconds count the police are usually first on scene:

If you or your service agency would be interested in assisting with replacing the AED’s please contact the Charles City Police Dept.
