Nashua Police Chief Demoted

NASHUA (AP) — The police chief of Nashua has been demoted and Officer Paul Becthold has been named interim chief of the four-member department. The Nashua City Council made the decision on Monday to demote the city’s chief, Ernie Willsher back to Officer.

The demotion notice to Willsher on June 20 stated that his attitude was to blame. Willsher has 30 days to appeal the decision and request a formal hearing. The dept has 4 members serving a population of 1,700 residents in Nashua.
