FLOYD COUNTY, IA – The 42 second Registers Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa is currently making its way across North Iowa and is scheduled to be in Floyd County tomorrow following an overnight stop off in Mason City tonight. Floyd County Emergency Management Coordinator wants to make sure that everyone is prepared and that the ride through Floyd Co goes as smoothly as possible:
Morlan says there will be a lot of bikers though in a relatively short time. The weather is supposed to improve which will make conditions for tomorrow much easier to handle:
Some bikers may be coming into the Nora Springs as early as 5 am and most all riders are expected to be across Floyd County by 4 p.m. Also, some bikers follow alternate routes close to, but not actually “ON” the official route, so be aware as you drive through the County tomorrow and avoid the route if possible or allow extra time to get around.
