CHARLES CITY, IA – During the Charles City Council workshop meeting on Monday, City Administrator, Steve Diers, announced that Charles City Water Treatment Plant superintendent, Mark Christianson, has resigned from his position. Christianson, who came to Charles City from Humboldt, only began his duties last month and is resigning for personal reasons, which Diers said have nothing to do with the City:

Diers noted the difficulty of filling the position, and says that they hope to be able to hire from within the dept:

Before Christianson was hired, the city had been without a water superintendent for over five months.
