Charles City, Iowa – A Charles City Community Broadband Chamber Lunch and Learn will be held on Tuesday, August 30th beginning at 12:00 p.m. at the Zastrow River Room at the Charles City Public Library.
The overall goal of the Community Broadband project is to determine whether there is sufficient community interest in a community broadband project to justify investing in a detailed feasibility study.
The Chamber Lunch and Learn on Tuesday will be one of several gatherings with various stakeholder groups in Charles City. The session will be led by Curtis Dean of SmartSource Consulting, who has been working on behalf of community broadband networks for 18 years.
Following a brief presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the concept of a community fiber broadband network, discuss their needs and relate any changes or issues they have had with existing providers.
A light lunch will be provided at no charge.
RSVP to Curtis@smartsourceconsulting.com or by calling the Chamber at 641-228-4234.
