A Volleyball On A Grunge Textured Background

In a match heard right here on KCHA last night, the Charles City Comet volleyball team was at home taking on their arch rival Waverly-Shell Rock in a Northeast Iowa Conference battle.  Just like previous matches against Waverly, this one went back and forth.  The Comets won the first game 25-15, Waverly took game two 25-18, the Comets earned a 25-21 win in game three, Waverly won game four 25-20 to force a deciding game five which Charles City was able to win 15-8 to earn the three games to two match win.  The Comets improve to 15-3 overall and they move to 3-0 in NEIC play.  The Comet volleyball team will be back in action tomorrow night at Oelwein.

The Osage Green Devil volleyball team was able to sweep Rockford last night at home in a Top of Iowa Conference match-up.  Scores went 25-16, 25-14 and 25-21.  Osage improves to 15-8 overall this season and they are now 7-0 in conference matches while Rockford falls to 6-10 and 1-6.  Osage will play their next volleyball match on Monday of next week at home against Charles City and Rockford will return to action next Tuesday at home against North Butler.

The North Butler Bearcat volleyball team was at home last night for a Top of Iowa Conference match against West Fork.  The Bearcats dropped the first two games by scores of 25-9 and 25-21, but were able to take game three 25-20 before dropping the fourth game 25-23 to lose the match three games to one.  North Butler volleyball falls to 3-4 in Top of Iowa Conference play and they will play again next Tuesday in Rockford.
