The Charles City Comet volleyball team was in Oelwein last night for a Northeast Iowa Conference match against the Huskies.  The Comets were able to sweep through three games to none by scores of 25-18, 25-18 and 25-12.  Charles City volleyball improves to 16-3 overall this season and they move to 4-0 in NEIC play.  The Comets will play in a tournament at home tomorrow.

The Saint Ansgar Saints volleyball team was able to sweep Crestwood last night at home in non-conference action three games to none.  Scores went 25-17, 25-23 and 25-17.  The Saint Ansgar volleyball team improves to 9-7 overall this season and they will have their next match on Tuesday at Mason City Newman.

It’s hard to believe, but it is already week six of the Iowa High School football season.  The Charles City Comet football team will host their Homecoming game tonight at Comet Field.  Charles City will host Vinton-Shellsburg.  The Comets come in with an overall record of 2-3 and they are 2-1 in Class 3A District 3.  The Vikings are 1-4 and 0-3.  You can tune into this game right here on KCHA starting with a pregame at about 7pm and kickoff is scheduled for 7:30.

The Nashua-Plainfield Husky football team will host West Fork tonight in a Class A District 3 contest.  It is also the Huskies Homecoming game tonight.  Nashua comes in with an overall record of 2-2 on the season and they are 1-1 in District play.  West Fork is 0-5 overall and 0-3 in the District.  Kickoff for this game will be at 7pm.

The Osage Green Devil football team will be in a Class 2A District 2 match-up at home against Forest City tonight.  The Green Devils will celebrate Homecoming as they will be looking for their first District win.  Osage is 1-4 overall and 0-3 in District play while Forest City comes in at 2-3 and 1-2.  You can tune into this game on our sister station 987 KISS Country starting with a pregame at about 7:15 and kickoff is scheduled for 7:30.

The North Butler Bearcat football team will host Rockford tonight for their annual Homecoming game.  The Bearcats are 1-3 overall this season and they are 0-2 in Class A District 3 play while Rockford comes in at 0-5 and 0-3.  Kickoff for this game is scheduled for 7:00pm.

The top-ranked Saint Ansgar Saints football team will look to stay unbeaten tonight as they will host Grundy Center in a Class A District 3 match-up.  The Saints are 5-0 overall this season and they are 3-0 in the District while Grundy Center comes in at 3-2 and 2-1.  Kickoff for this game is also scheduled for 7pm.
