The Nashua-Plainfield Husky volleyball team was in Dunkerton last night for a non-conference match.  The Huskies were in three close games, but lost them all as they were swept three games to none.  Scores were 25-22, 25-18 and 25-19.  Nashua finishes their regular season with a record of 5-19.  The Huskies will now get ready for their Class 2A Regional game against Saint Ansgar which will be held on Tuesday night.

The Osage Green Devil volleyball team had a couple of matches last night in Parkersburg as they took part in a triangular against the Falcons and top-ranked Janesville.  The Green Devils were able to beat A-P two games to none by scores of 25-17 and 25-21, but lost to Janesville two games to one.  In that match, Janesville won the first game 25-10, Osage came back to win game two 27-25 then Janesville won the third game 15-12 to take the match two games to one.  With the split, Osage volleyball concludes their regular season with a record of 20-11.  The Green Devils will next be in action on Wednesday when they host Clear Lake in a Class 3A Regional quarterfinal.

The Rockford Warrior volleyball team hosted a quadrangular meet last night and were able to go 3-0 in their matches.  The Warriors swept all of their matches two games to none as they beat Turkey Valley 25-10 and 27-25, they beat Valley Lutheran 27-25 and 25-16 and they beat Belmond-Klemme 25-9 and 25-23.  Rockford volleyball improves to 9-12 this season and they will wrap up their regular season tomorrow with a tournament in Garner.

It’s hard to fathom, but Week 8 of the Iowa High School football season will take place tonight.  The Charles City Comet football team will host Decorah tonight in a Class 3A District 3 match-up.  The Comets come in at 3-4 overall and 3-2 in District play while Decorah is 3-4 and 2-3.  You can tune into this game right here on KCHA starting with a pregame at 7:00 with kickoff scheduled for 7:30.

The Nashua-Plainfield Husky football team will be at home tonight for their Class A District 3 game against Mason City Newman Catholic.  The Huskies are 3-4 overall and come in at 2-3 in District play while Newman is 4-3 overall and also 2-3 in the District.  Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm.

The Osage Green Devil football team will hit the road tonight for a game against Hampton-Dumont.  Both teams will be in search of their first Class 2A District 2 win as they are each 0-5 in league play.  Osage is 1-6 overall and Hampton-Dumont is 0-7.  You can tune into this game on our sister station 987 KISS Country with a pregame at 7:15 and kickoff will be at around 7:30.

The North Butler Bearcat football team will be at home tonight in their Class A District 3 match-up with Grundy Center.  North Butler is 2-5 overall and 1-4 in District play while Grundy Center is 4-3 and 3-2.  Kickoff from Allison will be at 7pm.

The Rockford Warrior football team will be on the road tonight in search of their first win of the season as they will be at West Fork.  The Warriors are 0-7 overall and 0-5 in District play while the War-Hawks come in at 2-5 and 2-3.  This game will also have a kickoff at 7pm.

The Saint Ansgar Saints football team will be at home tonight in a Class A District 3 showdown of top ten teams.  The Saints are top-ranked in Class A and are 7-0 overall and 5-0 in District games.  West Hancock is ranked seventh and are 6-1 overall and 5-0 in the District.  The winner of this game will be declared District champions.  Kickoff for this game will be at 7pm as well.
