School Districts Join Iowa Big North; Partnering To Excel In Project Based Learning

Charles City, Iowa – High school students in Charles City, Osage, and New Hampton school districts are participating in a new program called Iowa Big North. The districts are partnering together to excel in the area of Project Based Learning.

Charles City high school senior Madison Davis explains.

Riahanna Folkerts from the Osage High School talks about some of the initiatives of the program.

New Hampton student Wes Wegman explained how the project can help the communities within the participating school districts.

Another New Hampton student, Jordan Holthaus, said the initiatives are not based on the final product, but rather the learning that takes place through the projects.

Holthaus also talked about some common misconceptions other students may have about Iowa Big.

More information about the Iowa Big North program can be obtained from each school participating school district.

The Rudd, Rockford, Marble Rock school district are also hoping to have students who will participate in the program in the near future.
