Love’s Travel Stops Is Open In Floyd; Features Godfather’s Pizza & Subway

Floyd, Iowa – Love’s Travel Stop opened for business yesterday in Floyd, located at the intersection of the Avenue of The Saints and Monroe Street.

General Manager Michael Peterson said nearly 40 people including local residents have been hired at the travel stop, which also features Subway and Godfather’s Pizza.

Peterson said the store is designed to accommodate both over the road truck drivers as well as travelers in general.

The travel stop has many featured items. Peterson explains.

Peterson said Love’s offers conveniences for long-distance travelers such as showers.

Love’s will host a ribbon cutting later today, beginning at 1:30 p.m. At that time, they will make a $1,000 donation to Toys For Tots in Floyd County. They will also present a $1,000 donation to the Charles City Civic Foundation’s Holiday Cheer fundraiser, which raises money to provide Christmas gifts for local families in need.

Love’s Travel Stops is headquartered in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. There are more than 400 locations in 40 states.
