The Osage Green Devil girls basketball team was able to remain undefeated last night as they defeated North Butler in Allison 45-42.  The Bearcats took control of the game early as they led it 15-7 after the first quarter.  The Green Devil girls would chip away at that lead and trailed by just two at halftime.  Osage would then gain the lead in the third quarter and kept the lead for the rest of the game.  The Osage girls basketball team improves to 5-0 overall this season and they move to 4-0 in Top of Iowa Conference play.  North Butler’s girls fall to 2-4 and 2-3.  Osage’s girls will be in action again on Friday when they host Nashua-Plainfield while North Butler’s next game will be Tuesday of next week at home against the Huskies.

The Osage Green Devil boys basketball team was also able to keep their perfect record last night as they beat the Bearcat boys in Top of Iowa Conference action on the road 63-38.  Ben Grimm led three Osage boys in double-figures as he finished with 15 points, Drew Olson had 14 and Lucas Schwamman had 12.  The Osage boys are 5-0 this season overall and 4-0 in conference play while North Butler moves to 2-4 and 2-3.  The Green Devil boys will host Nashua on Friday and North Butler will play the Huskies at home next Tuesday for their next game.

The Rockford Warrior boys basketball team was in Top of Iowa Conference action last night at home against Mason City Newman.  The Warriors were able to win 63-58 to improve to 5-1 overall this season.  Zach Bushbaum led Rockford with 13 points and Alex Schriever added 11 points and five assists.  The Warrior boys are now 3-1 in Top of Iowa Conference play and they will play again on Friday night at Central Springs.

The Rockford Warrior girls basketball team kept their perfect season in tact last night as they beat Mason City Newman 53-35 in a Top of Iowa Conference match-up.  Emma Staudt and Madison McGregor each had 15 points for the Warriors and Morgan Thieman was also in double figures as she finished with 10 points.  The Rockford girls are now 6-0 overall this season and they have a conference record of 4-0.  The Warrior girls will be in action again on Friday night as they will have a road contest with Central Springs.
