World renowned autism advocate Temple Grandin to speak on Thursday in New Hampton

New Hampton, Iowa – Join the New Hampton FFA for a once-in-a-lifetime experience to witness the world renowned Temple Grandin speak about her experiences with autism and how she has overcome her disorder and changed the agriculture and the livestock handling industry for the better.

Presentations will be held on Thursday, January 12th at the New Hampton High School Gym at 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm. The public is encouraged to attend the evening session, as it is expected that the gym will be very full for the afternoon session. However, the public is invited to attend either program.

Statewide FFA groups will be attending the program, as well as Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey, who will speak to the audience at 12:45 p.m., prior to the 1:00 p.m. program.

Organizers are expecting a crowd of 1,000 or more.

Doors will open an hour and a half before the presentation starts. Book signings will follow both programs.
