The Nashua-Plainfield Husky boys basketball team was at home last night as they opened up Class 1A District 5 play.  The Nashua boys were able to walk away with the 42-40 win and continue their season.  The Husky boys are now 7-15 overall on the season and they will play in the District Quarterfinals on Thursday night.  Nashua will take on Don Bosco at AGWSR High School.

The Charles City Comet boys and girls bowling teams will hit the lanes today for their Sub-State Tournament.  Both teams will be at home and welcome in five other schools who will all be looking for individual and team state qualification.  The other teams in the Sub-State today at the Comet Bowl are Decorah, Forest City, North Fayette Valley, North Iowa-Buffalo Center and Vinton-Shellsburg.  The top team and individual will qualify for the State Meet next week.  You can tune into live bowling coverage today right here on KCHA.  The coverage will begin at 11:30 with the meet set to start at noon.

The Rockford Warrior girls basketball team will begin their postseason tonight with a Class 2A Region 5 Quarterfinal.  The Warriors will host fellow Top of Iowa Conference member Central Springs.  The Rockford girls went 18-3 during the regular season while Central Springs finished the year at 14-8.  These two teams split their regular season series as each team won the road game against one another.  Tip-off from Rockford will be at 7pm.
