Child endangerment charges for Floyd woman after auto accident

Charles City, Iowa – A Floyd woman in in hot water after crashing her vehicle with her kids inside.

The Charles City Police Department say they responded to an accident in the 2100 block of Clarkview Drive on Wednesday afternoon where they found 31-year-old Bobbi Quade, who allegedly lost control and struck a dumpster and another car. Two female children under the age of 5 were in her vehicle at the time of the accident, one of which suffered a cut on the top of her head and needed medical attention.

The criminal complaint says Quade had red, bloodshot eyes and smelled of alcohol. A field sobriety test allegedly showed her with a blood alcohol content of .12 which is over the legal limit of .08.

Quade was charged with child endangerment causing injury, a felony, and 2nd offense OWI, an aggravated misdemeanor.

Quade was first convicted of OWI back in 2008.
