Rockford, Iowa – The Floyd County Community Foundation provided a grant to the B/Ask (Before/After School Kids) Program which is sponsored by the Grown Rockford Together organization.

According to Marcie Andrews, Development Associate for the Floyd County Community Foundation, the program is very strong, which is directed by Deb Kadera.

Andrews said on an average day, 10-12 students may be present, either before or after school, and Kadera is assisted by a number of middle and high school age students who assist with the program.

Andrews said there are several other organizations that have assisted with the program.

Once school is out, the SOAR (School’s Out at Rockford) Program will begin, which will offer an all-day option for child care during the summer months.

For more information about the program, contact Deb Kadera at the Rudd/Rockford/Marble Rock School district.
