Waverly, Iowa (AP) – Several drug charges have been filed against a woman who authorities say works at a day care in Waverly.

Court records say the charges against 44-year-old Kelly Hampton include possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.

A public phone listing for Hampton couldn’t be found. She didn’t return a message left Wednesday at her workplace. Online court records don’t list the name of an attorney who could comment for her. Her next court hearing is scheduled for April 21.

The records say officers sent to an apartment complex to check a marijuana complaint traced the odor to Hampton’s apartment. The officers say they later found drugs in her vehicle and apartment.

Booking information lists Hampton as director of Little Learners Preschool and Daycare in Waverly.
