Crash that killed 5 in Mason City in still under investigation

Mason City, Iowa – A crash that took the lives of five young adults in Mason City is still being investigated.

Mason City Police Chief Jeff Brinkley said the investigation, which will likely take a few more weeks, require results of lab tests that have been done during autopsies of the accident victims.

Killed in the crash were 18-year-old Roderick Lewis;  14-year-old Sydney Alcor; 19-year old Alex Parvon-Charles Wiebke; 20-year old Zachary Hartley; and 17-year old Donte Foster.  All five occupants of the Jeep they were riding in died after the vehicle hit a tree on Sixth Street Southwest in Mason City. The accident occurred on April 11th around 2:40 a.m.

Zachary Hartley was the driver of the vehicle.
