The Charles City Comet girls tennis team will be at home tonight taking on Aplington Parkersburg.  The Varsity contest will be held at Sportsman’s Park while the JV team will play behind the high school.  Both the JV and Varsity contests will begin at 4pm. The Charles City Comet boys track team claimed first place as a team at yesterdays meet held in Osage.  The Comets were able to claim first place points in four events, Bryce Foxen in the 200 meter dash, Jon Zander in the 3200 meter run, Nate Huffman in the shot put and the shuttle hurdle

Local Sports Report (4/20)

The Rockford and Nashua Plainfield girls golf teams were in action Friday as part of a Corn Bowl Conference quadrangular at the Buffalo Run Golf Course in Nora Springs along with Central Springs and Northwood Kensett.  Rockford took first place as a team with 175 team strokes, and Nashua was not far behind as they

Local Sports Weekend Wrap (4/13)

The Charles City Comet boys golf team was in New Hampton and came away with their first Northeast Iowa Conference win of the season as they knocked off the Chickasaws 175-184.  Comet sophomores Drew Mitchell and Nate Lasher led the way for Charles City as they each entered the clubhouse with scores of 42.  Freshman
