The Charles City Comet girls basketball team hosted Waukon last night for their Northeast Iowa Conference opener at Comet Gym.  The Comets started out slow as they fell behind by nine points right out of the gate, but Coach Danielle Rippentrop’s team was able to turn it on and ended up blowing out Waukon 52-35.
