NIACC Announces Fall 2014 Dean’s List 

Charles City, IA – North Iowa Area Community College is pleased to announce the 2014 Fall Term Dean’s List and President’s List.  Students who complete a minimum of six semester hours and earn a 3.5-4.0 term grade point average in an academic semester will be honored by being named to the President’s List, and they are:

Burglary suspects apprehended

Floyd County, IA – A routine traffic stop in Floyd County helped authorities link two people to several burglaries in the area. 28-year-old Lover Montgomery is being held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail, after being charged in a string of burglaries from Cerro Gordo, Bremer and Worth county. Montgomery was initially pulled over by deputies


20th Annual Charles City Chili Cook-Off 

CHARLES CITY, IA – The 2015 Great Chili Cook-Off Chefs have been revealed!  Now in its 20th year, the Great Chili Cook-Off invites the public to come and sample the chili recipes of eight local “celebrity cooks,” voting for their favorite on the ballot found on the back of their ticket.  This year’s field features
