A District court judge rules New Hampton Light Plant violated Iowa’s whistleblower statute

NEW HAMPTON, IA – A ruling  by District Court Judge Margaret Lindgren has been filed in the wrongful termination suit between Jacob Hackman and the Light Plant. After a 7 1/2-day trial, a jury found that Hackman had been wrongfully terminated by Light Plant General Manager Brian Quirk, but Lindgren had taken the whistleblower count under advisement.
