Pizza and a Panel: Taking the Keys is Not Enough…

Come and join us for “Pizza and a Panel: Taking the Keys is Not Enough…A Community Event to Discuss Underage Drinking” Town Hall Event. This will take place at the North Fayette Valley High School located at 600 North Pine Street, West Union. The event on April 14th will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and a FREE meal will be provided. All Fayette County residents, parents, and youth in grades 6-12 are encouraged to attend this important event.
Mark Bigler, the featured speaker, is the head boys basketball coach and teacher at Davenport West High School. He was personally impacted by a tragic drunk driving accident when his 8-month-old grandson Drake was killed. In a promise to his son and daughter in law, he has been making presentations to educate the dangers and sadness of the choice of drunk driving. Mr. Bigler’s family tragedy has been highlighted on ESPN’s E60 shows and CBS Sports.
Panel presenters at the event will include Chief Brent Parker, West Union Police Department; Principal Todd Wolverton, North Fayette Valley High School; UIU Assistant Athletic Director, Brandi Rideout; Palmer Lutheran Hospital ED Manager/Supervisor, Deb Kelly, Prevention Specialist Jen Stolka, Helping Services for Northeast Iowa; and Mark Bigler, grandparent of a 8 month old boy killed in an alcohol-related crash. Other community leaders will be on hand to answer your questions and exhibitors will be available to provide information on area resources.
