Spring Turkey Hunt Approved For Floyd County Youth

Charles City, Iowa – The Floyd County Conservation Board has approved youth turkey hunting for the 2016 spring season. There will be five permits issued for youth hunters. The Board is accepting applications from now until Friday, March 25th. The public drawing will be held at 8 a.m. on Monday, March 28th at the Fossil and Prairie Center in Rockford.

The area open for this limited season will be south of the designated refuge line and 40 acres east along the Shell Rock River. Youth hunters will be assigned a designated site.
