Hawkeye Man Charged After ATV Crash Injures Teen

Hawkeye, Iowa – A 13-year-old boy was airlifted to a hospital and an adult is facing charges following an ATV rollover crash on Tuesday in Hawkeye.

According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s office, two teens – ages 14 and 13 – were on the ATV when the driver lost control and it rolled in a ditch. The 13-year-old, who was the passenger, was transported to a local hospital and later airlifted to a hospital in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. He was released with minor injuries, according to a news release.

The sheriff’s office cited 34-year-old Jason Cannon of Hawkeye for permitting an unauthorized minor to drive, a simple misdemeanor.
