Lane Closures On Iowa 93 from U.S. 63 to Sumner begin May 9th

road closed

New Hampton, Iowa – Pavement patching, guardrail updates, and hot-mix asphalt resurfacing work on Iowa 93 from U.S. 63 to Sumner requires daytime lane closures beginning Monday, May 9, until late July, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s New Hampton construction office.

When daytime lane closures are in place, flaggers and pilot cars will be used to control traffic. Only minor repair work will be occurring within the cities of Tripoli and Sumner.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
