The Charles City trapshooting team hosted a tournament on Saturday at the Nashua Gun Club in which Mason City and Garner-Hayfield-Ventura participated in.  Charles City 1 took the team title as they finished with a combined score of 210.  Mason City Red finished in second with a team score of 197.  Charles City also had the top three individual score on the boys side as Aaron Wright and Luke Hillegas tied for first at 46 with Wright winning the shoot-off 25-23.  Shau Landt took third after his round of 43.  Individually for the girls, Ashley Moorhead of Garner was the medalist with a 42, while Charles City had the next three finishers as Izzy Worrall had a 39, Rebecca Tierney had a 38 and Ciana Sonberg had a 36.  The Charles City trapshooting team will compete again today at the Ventura Gun Club.

The Charles City Comet girls golf team competes in their Northeast Iowa Conference meet today in Waverly.  The NEIC meet starts at 10am this morning and will consist of each player golfing 18 holes.

The Charles City Comet boys golf team will have a Northeast Iowa Conference dual meet tonight against Waverly-Shell Rock.  This head-to-head match-up will begin at 4pm.

The Charles City Comet girls tennis team will make-up their meet against Aplington-Parkersburg on the road today.  That meet will also begin at 4pm.

The Top of Iowa Conference will hold their Conference Golf Tournaments today for both the boys and the girls.  The Nashua-Plainfield, Osage, North Butler, Rockford and Saint Ansgar boys will play at the Nashua Town and Country Club.  The Nashua-Plainfield, Osage, North Butler, Rockford and Saint Ansgar girls will golf at the Pioneer Town and Country Club in Manly.

The Nashua Plainfield and Rockford boys and girls track teams will have their final tune-up before the State Qualifying Meet today.  Both teams will travel to Northwood-Kensett High School to compete in the co-ed invitational which will begin at 4:30.

The Osage girls tennis team will host Waverly-Shell Rock today at the Osage High School tennis courts.  The first matches of this meet will get underway at 4:30.
