Hawkeye, Iowa – The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday arrested a Hawkeye woman for forgery.

55 year old Stacie J. Martin was taken in after family members contacted the sheriff’s office in early May and conducted an investigation.

Upon completion of that investigation, deputies determined that in early February 2016, Martin had allegedly been forging multiple checks from a 93-year-old victim of which she was a hired caretaker in Fayette County.
