Changes To Charles City Schools Summer Food Service Program

Charles City, Iowa – The Charles City School district is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to all children in the district on a first come, first serve basis.

The lunch program was originally slated to be held at the Charles City Middle School, but with most summer programs held at Washington Elementary, the district made the decision to hold the lunch program at Washington.

Superintendent Dr. Dan Cox explains.

The program will run through August 5th and lunch will be served from 11:15-11:45 a.m. It is free of charge for any school district student. Parents are welcome to eat with their child and purchase a lunch for $3.50.

For more information on this program, call 641-257-6500 ext. 6 or click here to access the school website.

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki and a daughter Brynlee.
