Elma (Franzen) Woyach, 92, of Charles City, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family.
A funeral service for Elma Woyach will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City with Pastor Bill Odermann from Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Charles City officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Charles City.
Visitation will be held at Hauser Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2016 and will continue one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home on Wednesday.
Elma Caroline (Franzen) Woyach was born February 26, 1924 in Wood Dale, Illinois, the daughter of Edwin and Sophia (Dettman) Franzen. She received her education in Wood Dale, Illinois. Elma was united in marriage to Clarence Woyach on June 18, 1949 in Crown Point, Indiana. She was a lifetime Homemaker, worked at Runge Paper Company in Bensenville, Illinois and helped on the family farm. Soon after Clarence retired in 1986, the couple relocated to Charles City.
Elma was a member of Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Charles City. She enjoyed cooking and traveling. Elma was so much more than an Aunt to those who loved her. She was loved more like a mom, grandma, great-grandma and great-great-grandma. Elma will be dearly missed by her beloved family.
Living family members include Robert (Terri) Franzen of Charles City; Jason (Robyn) Proffitt of New Hampton, Dorinda Tonelli of Charles City; Bobbi (Jack) Prigge of Charles City; Douglas (Cyndi) Franzen of Charles City; Pat Hensen; Nancy Davis; Bonnie Pace; Fred (Carol) Franzen; Don (Mauread) Franzen; Joann Musiala; Ron Franzen; John (Joann) Franzen; Robert Taylor; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence on October 8, 2002; four brothers; and niece, Betty Taylor.
