Charles City School Board Meets Tonight At New Location

Charles City, Iowa – The Charles City Community School District board members will continue to hold meetings throughout the summer, in a different location.

School board meeting will take place in the Washington Elementary library rather than the Middle School cafeteria.

The meetings will remain at their regular time of 6:30 p.m.

The next meeting is tonight, and the board will hear a presentation given by students of eight grade social studies teacher Ryan Rahmiller. The students will share of portion of the presentations they gave in May about the new middle school.

Principals Kara Shannon, Marcia DeVore, Rick Gabel and Josh Johnson will present the Iowa Assessment results for their respective buildings and Shannon and DeVore will give an update concerning new math curriculum that was implemented at the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year.

Again, the meeting location has been changed to the Washington Elementary library and starts at 6:30 p.m. tonight.
