NH Trap Shoot Team Takes 2nd In State Competition

New Hampton, Iowa – The New Hampton Trap Shoot team took 2nd place in the state competition over the weekend.

Coach Chuck Stanton talks about the competition.

Stanton said on Saturday the team became “untouchable.”

Stanton talked about his team’s scores.

Coach Stanton said that he had made a bet with his team about shaving his head if they shot 50 straight.

Stanton said the team shot right up the ranks on Saturday to come in 2nd place behind Solon.

Teammate Anna Holschlag talked about the team’s emotions when they learned they placed 2nd in the state trap shoot competition.

Coach Stanton gave credit to his assistant coaches including Bob Holschlag, David Schmitt, Wyatt Phillips and Lynn Schwickerath.

The team was recognized at a celebration last night at the New Hampton High School.
