Lindaman Appeals His Sexual Abuse Conviction

Charles City, Iowa – Doug Lindaman filed a notice of appeal in Floyd County District Court on June 8th. He is appealing his third-degree sexual abuse conviction. He was sentenced on June 7th.

Court-appointed attorney John Standafer of Cedar Falls filed the notice of appeal and has since been replaced by state appellate defender Mark Smith.

Lindaman was transferred to a correctional facility in Oakdale following his June 7th sentencing.

A jury found the former Floyd County Magistrate guilty in April of third-degree sexual abuse against a 17-year old boy.
