Mason City, Iowa (AP) – Authorities say a Mason City man found floating in Clear Lake has died.

The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office says boaters found 85-year-old George Baker afloat near the McIntosh Woods State Park ramp a little before 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Sheriff’s Office suspects Baker slipped or fell while trying to move his boat out of the water. The boat was found about 300 feet from shore.
