CC 4th Of July Celebration A Wrap; Kid Approved

Charles City, Iowa – The 4th of July Celebration in Charles City is a wrap.

The weekend, boasting spectacular weather, was a fun-filled celebration for all.

Central Park was the main headquarters, and the fun began on Friday with the annual Kid’s Day parade and activities.

Y’s Guys Director Andrea Riedemann said her Y’s Guys group prepared for Kids Day all week .

TLC teacher Lindsay Lokenvitz said the kids at TLC have been very excited as they anticipated Kids Day.

Area children had this to say about their favorite Charles City Fourth of July celebration events.

Hundreds of people flocked to Central Park throughout the weekend for music, games, food and beverages. Musical entertainment included Marshall Meusel, Standing Hampton, The Charles City Municipal Band, PV and the Phantoms and Endless Summer.

The Charles City drummers also performed.
