Mason City Councilman Found Dead On Friday

Mason City, Iowa (AP) – A 34-year-old city councilman from Mason City has died.

Alex Kuhn died Friday in Floyd County where he grew up. The Floyd County Sheriff’s Department did not release any details of his death.

Kuhn’s father, Mark Kuhn, says his son’s funeral will be held in Mason City where he was serving his second term on the city council.

Mason City Administrator Brent Trout says Alex Kuhn always wanted to learn as much as he could about a subject before deciding on it.

Alex Kuhn had two sons, and he had been working at Henkel Construction Co. in Mason City.
