Nashua Woman Jailed After Disturbance Call In Fayette

Fayette, Iowa – A Nashua woman was arrested recently in Fayette County.

41 year old Janel Kay Helfter of Nashua was arrested following a report of a report of a possible disturbance in Fayette. Police arrested Helfter after they discovered she had a valid felony warrant for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of T.H.C out of Barron, Wisconsin.

Helfter was placed under arrest and transported to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office where she was awaiting extradition to Wisconsin.

Helfter was found guilty of child endangerment in Mitchell County in the past, along with other drug charges in various counties throughout the state of Iowa.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Fayette Police Department.
